Growing up in Rowan County, I have been part of this fine community for over 40 years. Residential sales have primarily been my specialty. l'm particularly interested in assisting buyers and sellers of properties at High Rock Lake. Having lived at the lake myself for years, I have become very knowledgeable of not only property values, but also the rules and regulations that have been set forth by APGI (Alcoa Power Generating Inc.) www.acloa.com/yadkin/en/home.asp concerning pier specifications and other shoreline related issues. APGI is licensed to operate a hydroelectric project on High Rock Lake. When their operating license came up for renewal, I made application to be a part of the process to insure that property owners on the lake were represented and their concerns and issues were brought forth. I was the only Realtor selected to be a part of this four-year process. This experience has been most rewarding and educational and has also allowed me to feel that I have made a significant contribution for the future generations to come.
While the lake may be my passion, it only represents a small portion of my business. Throughout my career, I've gained considerable knowledge of real estate practice and procedure and have seen many changes in the industry. But some things remain constant.
